​​​​​We are offering a COLOR COPY of an antique 1875 plat map of part of Douglas Neighborhood - Aldine Square Re-SUB, a 1st map of Douglas, found so far, bounded by: 37th Street + Vincennes Avenue + Stanton Avenue.
My research shows that “Aldine Square” was later re-maned “E. De Saible Square”, then was Vacated by the City Ordinance in 1939 to build “Ida B. Wells Homes”. Currently, there is nothing on this Block and the IMPORTANT PART OF HISTORY IS WELL FORGOTTEN!   
It shows 3 Blocks of Lots and a Public Square & a circular Public Drive around the “Aldine Square”.
This plat map has some of surveying indexing & notes from various projects, completed in the area. 
The size of this map is appr. 8.5" x 11". To properly date this map we referred to our extensive archive. History of Chicago at your fingertips!
