We are offering a COLOR COPY of an advertisement antique map of part of Irving Park - Tryon & Davis 3 Additions to Irving Park, bounded by Lawrence Ave.+ Hamlin Ave.+ Montrose Ave.+ Pulaski Ave., just 1/2 block off Elston Avenue.
It is a beautiful map, prepared by one of our predecessors.
This is a 2-sided drawing, that shows Lots for sale with a picture of a nearby public school that is still there today [with additions], terms of sale, prediction that Chicago's population soon will be 4 million [which even today, more, then 110 years later still not that many], at the back, and vicinity map & lots of interesting facts in the front. The name of the Owners & Sub-Dividers, and with their office's address are listed as well.
As all other our maps & plats, this one has some of the surveyor's indexing markings & notes from various surveying projects, completed in the area. History of Chicago at your fingertips!
For proper dating of this map we referred to plat maps from our extensive archive.
The size is appr. 16" x 22".
