It is a beautiful 2-sided brightly colored drawing for advertisement of Lots for sale, prepared more then 125 years ago. It shows 27 Blocks of Lots, Manufacturing sites, Railroad Depot, School House, Post Office & Des Plaines River nearby. Also, it lists description of the area, terms of sale and name of Agent with it's addresses on one side. On the front there is a very detailed vicinity map and lots of interesting relevant information. 
As all other our maps & plats, this one has some of the surveyor's indexing markings & notes from various surveying projects, completed in the area.  
It is an important & beautiful map appr. 14" x 21". For proper dating =1893= of this plat we referred to our extensive archive.
