It is a beautiful 2-sided plat map, for advertisement of properties for sale.
It shows 9 Blocks of Lots for sale, bounded by: Belmont Ave. + Elston Avenue + California Ave. + Garden Ave. + Thomas Avenue. 
ALL of the text on this map is in German! Can anybody translate from German into English? 
There is a map with some text on one side and a picture of a house & floor plan of a house with basement on the other side. 
Please keep in mind that streets’ names might have been changed since 1889! 
I could only guess that lots were sold for $ 10.00 or $ 25.00 with 6% financing – dollar sign is known in the most remote parts of our Earth. I, also, could decipher the word “percentage”. RARE UNIQUE MAP!
As all other our maps & plats, this one has some surveyor's indexing markings from various surveying projects, completed in the area. 
The size is appr. 5.25" x 7.75", small "golden nugget"!
