​​​​Ancestry: Chicago Area Map w/ Original Land Owners ca. 1860s, Evanston, IL  
We are offering a COLOR COPY of a unique historical plat map for ancestry/genealogy research - surveyor's plat/map of a part of Evanston, IL - showing original Landowners’ properties from 1860s [what is called in the industry "Ante-Fire", in other words - from before the Great Chicago Fire].  The area shown hereto is bounded by Central St. + Princeton Ave. + Isabella Ave + Highland St. I believe, a portion of what now is known as Gross Point Road is depicted on this map as well.
One of our predecessors, Mr. H. H. Bremer, Surveyor, prepared this drawing using descriptions of original Deeds for these properties & listed properties' owners as well. 
Please notice, that the original dimensions are shown in "Chains" & "Rods" - measuring tools, that were used BEFORE a measuring tape was invented! By-the-way, we own these [and many others] antique tools and instruments. 
It is a beautiful original plat map [with the dark blue background and white color drawing & text],  prepared by one of the best Surveyors of his time and one of our predecessors. 
The size is appr. 14" x 15". For proper dating of this unique historical plat map we referred to our extensive archive.
